Holy Week

Growing up, I always liked Easter because it meant a new beautiful dress, the Sunday that you got to wear your white shoes instead of black shoes to church, and running out early in the morning to find the mess that the Easter bunny left around my basket of candy and my favorite treat, the Easter themed malted milk balls.

As I’ve gotten older and understand what Easter is really all about, I can’t help but get emotional at the sacrifice that was done for ME. His blood was shed on that cross for ME and HE took MY punishment on the cross that day.

He didn’t have to, God sent HIS son to die on that cross for MY sins. For MY heartache. For MY mistakes. For MY transgressions. And the list goes on and on.

The best part? He died once and for ALL. Once and for all. Do you know what that means? He died for you too. You don’t have to do a thing to earn it. It’s done. He already died for you. Isn’t that cool?

The sinless died for the sinners.
The just for the unjust.
The flawless for the flawed.

Do you think you’re not good enough for Him? You are. He wants you more than anything and wants you to know you are loved. He wants you to know that he died for YOU.

1 Peter 3:18

Are you holding onto something that you need to lay down at the foot of the cross? Lay it down. Leave it in Jesus’ hands. Let Him take that burden from you like He took the punishment on the cross for you.

Psalm 55:22

Remember today, there is NO sin he didn’t die for.  He loves you, cares for you, and died for you.
